 PersonalityOutwardly Akio is a charming and generally laid back sort of man. His is also extremely intelligent, the ability to learn something new comes very naturally to him. He exudes confidence and loves nothing more than having a nice conversation with someone. He loves to analyze people, constantly looking for a way to break them down and gain some sort of control over them (you could say that he is somewhat of a control freak). He does have a great deal of patience (which one must have in order to teach), but once someone causes him to lose his cool the situation does have the potential to turn disastrous. Underneath that mask that he allows the general public to see, he is a much different person. He can, for lack of a better term, be described as an arrogant, selfish asshole. During his life he managed to talk himself out of almost anything, so he's never really suffered from any sort of moral conflicts. In his eyes he is special enough to do whatever he chooses to do without any sort of consequence. He also has a rather twisted sense of humour. He finds the suffering and hardships of others amusing, even more so when he is the one causing it. HistoryWhile growing up as a child, Akio was always able to get away with anything. There wasn't much discipline in his house, so he was always blurring the lines between right and wrong. When he got into high school he started doing whatever it took to be successful, everything from pushing himself to taking advantage of others. After high school he pretty much abandoned his family, opting to be taken in by a rich family that ran the high school he attended and the university he planned on enrolling himself in. He began the university soon after graduation, dabbling in many different subjects before deciding on anything (it wasn't really a choice based on interest, he just picked a major on a whim). Even while enrolled in his classes at the university he did spend a fair amount of time at the high school, acting as a sort of 'student advocate'. He ended up with a majorin Astronomy, excelling and easily surpassing all of his classmates. After recieving his degree he was invited back to the university to serve as a TA for the astronomy classes. He did this happily, finding that he took quite a liking to leading the class when he got the chance. As his first semester as a TA dragged on, he began to work on convincing the previous teacher that it was time for retirement. The professor was easily convinced and within a year Akio was the head of the Astronomy department and teaching to his hearts content. He was rather comfortable in his position for a couple years, but he eventually found himself getting bored and realizing that he needed something new to make his job as stimulating as it had been previously. He continued to teach through the semester and run the department with an iron fist! >O while looking for a change of scenery. He eventually decided on Cross University in the US, it was enough of a change and it seemed that they were in need of an Astronomy professor. He spent the summer closing his affairs at his current university and appointing a new head for the department. Once everything was secure, he began packing his few belongings and made his way to Cross. AppearanceAkio is a tall (6'7") and rather slender man. Since he is so tall the fact that he is slender is a little more noticible, but let it be said that despite this he has a very healthy build. He has long silvery-lavender hair, which he usually keeps tied back at the nape of his neck (though on rare occassions he does let his hair down). He has green eyes that contrast rather nicely with his tan skin and a single silver hoop earring in his left ear. He has a rather simple sense of style, usually opting for a nice button down shirt and tie. And slacks, of course, you can't forget the slacks. Every once in a while he can be seen in something more casual than that, but that is something that happens very rarely (and usually only if you have caught him in the middle of the night when he's actually been sleeping).
